Be A Part of the Brighton Marathon Weekend 2020!

LIBRA

This year our Brighton Marathon 10k Runners collectively raised more than £6,000 for LIBRA. Following their success, we are encouraging supporters to sign up for the 2020 Brighton Marathon Weekend and help us raise even more in support of our Going for Gold Campaign!

All funds will benefit the Haematology Department King’s College Hospital so new life saving treatments for patients with blood cancer can be created.

Many runners entered this fantastic sea front event in April 2019. Farzin Farzaneh, Professor ofMolecular Medicine at KCH took part with his daughter Leili and son Ben.

Also raising funds for LIBRA were Helen and Hannah Scarborough, Victoria Booth and James Martin. Helen said: “In October last year it seemed liked a great idea as we could train together as a family, get fit and raise money for LIBRA in memory of our Dad, Graham Martin.

“Some of the members of the team had more training to do than others! On the day the atmosphere during the run was amazing. We all finished with a respectable time, and best of all raised funds for LIBRA – a charity important to our Dad, a Lions member for over 40 years who also had Mylodysplasia.

“LIBRA is a charity close to our hearts and we will continue to provide support in memory of our Dad – maybe a family skydive next time!”

If you would like a challenge, why not register for the Brighton Marathon 10k or full marathon in 2020 and help raise funds for our Going for Gold Campaign! The Brighton Marathon is one of Europe’s favourite 26.2 milers. Meanwhile, the 10k event is growing in popularity.
