Charity Card Competition Winner
We received a fantastic number of entries for our LIBRA greetings card competition and we our pleased to announce our winner – Phebe Holloway, age 13.
We called on budding artists from across the UK to create a nature inspired design for our new look charity cards.
LIBRA Trustees loved looking through all of the amazing entries and they selected Phebe’s watercolour painting of a kingfisher as the winning design.
LIBRA Trustee Glyn Upjohn recently made a special visit to Midhurst Rother College in West Sussex, where Mrs Murray-Killen the leader of art helped to promote our competition.
Glyn spoke at a celebration assembly and thanked the art students who submitted some amazing entries. He went on to present Phebe with a prize, a £50 voucher, and talked about our charitable work.
Phebe’s design now appears on our vibrant new cards and it will help to raise awareness of our charities work to help the haematology department at King’s College Hospital in London.
All donations raised through the sale of these cards will help us to tackle blood cancers and blood disorders, and provide enhanced patient care.
If you would like to order some cards, suggested donation of £2 each plus postage, please email info@libralionscharity.org
